Welcome to our Community Supported Agriculture Service - Please make sure you read this document prior to signing up.
By subscribing to our CSA, you secure the items that you want or need.
When you sign up, a secure, online member profile is created for you with your CSA options, your pick-up or delivery location, and your account activity. You can view and edit your account, change your pick-up or delivery location, credit card info, or password. You can even place a vacation or suspension hold just by signing in to your account. By signing up, you are registering for weekly/biweekly pick-up or delivery unless you place your account on hold for the weeks you do not wish to recieve items.
There is a cut-off day for new signups, subscription changes, and webstore purchases:
Pick-up/Delivery Wednesday: Sign-up closes at Monday midnight
Pick-up/Delivery Thursday: Sign-up closes at Tuesday midnight
Pick-up/Delivery Friday: Sign-up closes at Wednesday midnight
Pick-up/Delivery Saturday: Sign-up closes Thursday at midnight
Pick-up/Delivery Sunday: Sign-up closes Friday at midnight
If you sign-up after these times, your first pick-up/delivery date will be moved to the following week or shifted to the next biweekly pickup date. This gives us time to prepare for new orders and make sure we have plenty harvested for the week.
Please note: If you register for a customized or pick and choose share, you will not have access to choose your items from the webstore until after the current delivery schedule has passed. For example, if you signed up on Sunday for Sunday delivery the following week, you cannot access the webstore until Monday morning following the day you registered. This is because the system looks at everything on a weekly basis and not on a "in the future" basis.
Coupons- Coupons apply to standard shares only.
CSA Options- We offer full and half shares depending on the type of CSA. In addition, you can choose to receive your CSA weekly or biweekly.
Standard- A standard subscription is not customizable. However, you may wish to add additional items to your order via our web store. This option is more like a traditional CSA where you are automatically charged on a reoccurring basis based on the payment option you choose. This is excellent for customers who do not want to log-in every week and place an order. Perfect for those who just want to pick-up their items or have it delivered without the hassle. If you wish to cancel, just simply email us three days prior to delivery or pick-up.
Pick and Choose- This Pick and Choose subscription allows you to choose what you want from the Webstore. There is a $13 purchase MINIMUM for this share. The minimum does not include discounts or delivery fees that may apply. You will continue to receive a box on a weekly or bi-weekly basis based on your selection unless you place your order on hold. If you forget to place a new order, we will just simply duplicate your last order of items that we have available. This is a perfect subscription option for those of us who are picky eaters and just won't eat anything we're given!
Holds - You may put your pick-up or delivery on hold by logging into your account. Please do this before midnight on Sunday for the coming week. Your credit/debit card will not be charged while your delivery is on hold. It is the customer's responsibility to place their order on hold when they are unable to pickup their items or wish not to receive a delivery.
Accessing the Web Store- We populate the webstore with items for the week every Monday morning. All items in the webstore are based on an estimated harvest for that week. We do have member limits per item based on availablity for that week. They generally run from 1-4 quantities per member per item. If you need more than the quantity is allowing, please email us and we will then reevaluate the harvest count to see if more is available.
If you are a bi-weekly customer, please do not pick items from the webstore until your week of delivery. This is to ensure that what you have selected is available that week.
Access to the webstore is located in the upper right corner of the page once you are signed in. Click on the word "Webstore" for access. You can only purchase items in the webstore if you have any of the subscriptions above. The webstore contains additional items for purchase, can replace another item in the customized options, or can be used to shop for the Pick and Choose subscription option. We are not liable for products that do not bear our name as the producer. Please see their websites for product information. We do not ship items. Items are for local pick-up or local delivery only. Many items in our webstore are available at the farmers markets we participate in and may be purchased there, if available.
The webstore is not open 24 hours a day like a regular online store. The hours to access the webstore depends on your pickup or delivery date. Just like the deadline to make changes or submit an order, there is a weekly deadline to order things from the webstore.

Pick-up/Delivery Sunday: Webstore closes Friday at midnight and reopens Monday
Payments-Payments are processed through PayPal or Authorize.net. Payments or a balance from your account will be automatically debited weekly or bi-weekly unless you place a hold or cancel your subscription. We do not store any of your personal or financial information on our website. Our order site is run by Farmigo and your information is stored securely by PayPal or Authorize.net. On The Vine Farms (On The Vine, LLC) is not responsible for any incurring bank/credit card charges as a result of making a purchase. This may include overdraft, overlimit, or other bank agreement fees due to purchase. If your payment at anytime is declined, we will attempt to contact you for prompt payment. For our own protection we do not accept cash or check for purchases made online at this time.
Debit on Delivery- Payment will be debited weekly for the amount purchased that week including delivery (if applicable) via PayPal or through Authorize.net. This option allows you to enter your payment information when placing your order. You will not be charged until midnight after the pick-up/delivery date. If you signup for automatic payments, you will not be asked to pay a negative balance after each delivery. If paying via PayPal, users are required to set up a PayPal account.
Pre-paid Balance Options-Like most CSA programs, you can pay upfront. This option allows you to deduct your box and webstore order from the balance that you have on file. It's like saying, "Put it on my tab!" Once your account balance is zero or below, we will contact you to pay or replenish your account. If you choose automatic payments, it will replenish your account again for the entire prepaid amount that you started with via the payment method you chose at sign-up. We have found that many of our customers have set up their account for automatic payment so their account replenishes without having to go back in and reload their account.
Cancellations – You may cancel your subscription at any time, please give us 3 days notice before your pick-up or delivery date by sending us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please request a confirmation email back confirming your cancellation. Also, On The Vine Farms reserves the right to cancel a pickup location or delivery area. We will inform the customers affected should one take place.
Delivery Only-Depending on your area the delivery fee ranges from $2.00-$5.00 per delivery. This is to cover our gas costs. A sizeable ice chest is REQUIRED if items are to be left outside of your home. Please provide ice or a refreezable ice pack inside the ice chest and make sure that your order will still fit inside the ice chest. Please leave the ice chest in a safe location away from animals, theft, and the hot sun. A shaded area is preferred. Once delivery has been made, we are no longer responsible for the items. Bring your order in immediately to make sure your order stays cool and items do not perish.
If you are having your items delivered to your workplace, please let the front desk or security know that there will be a delivery made to you. Please provide us with the appropriate instructions for dropping off your order. We do not provide ice chests. Once delivery has been made, you are agreeing to release On The Vine Farms from any liability regarding your purchase. Please plan accordingly.
Picking Up Your Order - Please remember to pick-up your order or have a friend or family member do so. When you pick-up at your selected location, please be sure your name is checked off the list when you pick-up.
Missing Your Pick Up - If you miss your pick up, it will be donated to a local food bank or to feed our chickens. We’re sorry but we cannot give you credit or a refund for orders that are not picked up. This is so we can cover cost.
Changing Your Pick Up Location - If you want to change your pick up location, please do so 3 days before your pick up day. If you switch and then want to switch back, you’ll need to log into your account again to do so.
Communications – On The Vine Farms communicates with you via email on a regular basis to inform you of a payment or to remind you of a scheduled pick up. Sometimes we will need to send out alerts about your order or inform you about happenings on our farm. By becoming a member of our CSA, you are agreeing to open and read all email communications as soon as you see them since much of the information is time sensitive. Please check your junk email box and add us as a Safe Sender. We post general information for all customers on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Holiday and Vacation Changes - We will give you plenty of notice about holiday or vacation date changes.
Substitutions/Seasonal Changes-From time to time, we need to substitute items in your box due to harvest. We also reserve the right to change items in our CSA boxes as seasons change. We will note any major changes to our boxes in the description of the box as well as notify all standard full-share and half-share subscribers via email.
Exchanges and Refunds- – We ask that you inspect your order during pick-up or at delivery. Exchanges may be granted if you inspect your order during pick-up or delivery (see Quality of Goods). If necessary, we will provide you with a refund via credit to your account or method of payment. Please note that On The Vine Farms cannot be responsible for any unforeseen damage or theft to your order after pick-up or delivery has been made. We recommend your order be taken in and properly stored as soon as possible since these are perishable items. It is always recommended that you have an ice chest with you when picking up your items. Delivery of items to home or business requires an ice chest to be used if you are unavailable to receive the items at the time of delivery.
Quality of Goods and Availability- Customers may choose any combination and weight of items. All items are subject to availability. Depending on the abundance of each crop, we may notify you if we are running short on an item or have more than enough of another. Our produce is pesticide-free using organic methods. We are not certified organic due to cost and finding the time to keep up with all of the paperwork behind organic certification. Additionally, we do not grade our produce as we do not sell to supermarkets. Our produce may have blemishes due to growth or insect damage, may not be uniform, or have a fair share of dirt on them just like a normal garden.
We grow most of the produce that we sell. We do work with other local farmers from time to time who are also pesticide-free or organic. Let’s face it, we are a small farm and can’t grow everything due to time and man power. Sometimes weather and other circumstances outside our control may cause fluctuations in harvest quality, capacity, and availability. Specific goods and produce are not guaranteed as we are not a commercial farm.
